Musandam Dhow Trip

Sailing and Diving in the Musandam

The Musandam Peninsula is the northernmost part of Oman jutting out into the Strait of Hormuz at the entrance to the Persian Gulf.  The province, or governorate of Musandam as it is officially known, is separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates. Musandam more or less begins where the mountains rise from the plains of Ras al Khaimah.

Musandam has sites suitable for advanced open water and higher level divers. Dolphins, sharks, large rays, colourful corals, large lobsters and even whale sharks have been spotted here. There is also a nice cavern dive and a few sites with nice wall dives. There are of course numerous yet undiscovered sites. Snorkelers and guests – coming along to enjoy the scenery – all are most welcome

Every Friday and on demand

6:00 – Optional transfer from Dubai. Depart Dubai in the Al Boom Diving shuttle bus (a Mitsubishi 22-seater Coaster). The scenic drive takes around two hours passing through the desert side of Dubai, the Sharjah desert, into the Hajar Mountains and through the little towns of Ras Al Khaimah.

Snorkelling and diving equipment will be provided.
